Notes Attractively bound in turquoise cloth with gilt titles to spine and blind stamped oak leaf device to front. All volumes are clean, bright and neat. Cream dust wrappers are attractively printed in green and maroon with oak leaf device to front. The matt surface of the dust wrapper has the occasional light finger mark and are slightly edge worn with a little creasing and some very tiny nicks and tears to the very edges. One dust wrapper has two numbers in red ink to the inner flap.

Volume 1 1755-1770, xcviii, 365pp. Volume 2 Diary 1771-1781, 458pp. Volume 3 Diary 1782-1804 and Autobiography through 1776, 449pp. volume 4, Autobiography 1777-1780 and Index.
