Notes Some rubbing to corners slightly affecting the very edge of the decorated borders, and scuffing to edges and to the tops of the the raised bands. Faint foxing to the end papers. Minor occasional blemishes to margins of some pages but generally the text block and plates are clean and crisp. The book is complete with 7 leaves of black and white plate as called for. No rips or tears. All pages tightly held at the gutter. Rear inner hinge is becoming a tad weak.

Hardback. Two volumes in one. Full tree calf. Raised bands to spine with Black and red labels and gilt titles and gilt decorations to remaining compartments. Gilt floral boarder to boards. Marbled endpapers. Marbles to closed page edges. Illustrated by Marcus Stone. x, (2), 506p; [7] leaves of plate. Once part of a set, the number 11 is in gilt to the third compartment.
