Notes Green cloth has a split about an inch in length to the front hinge of volume II. Volume I has a slight crack to the front endpaper. The volumes are otherwise sound though slight scuffed bumped and faded with the occasional minor mark externally.

Ex-libris label for Violet Douglas-Pennant - Commandant Violet Blanche Douglas-Pennant who served as the second commandant of the Women's Royal Air Force (WRAF) until her dismissal in August 1918 - to both volumes and her initials in pencil to the ffep of both volumes.
