Description
Hardback. 264pp. In two parts, bound together in one volume; part II has its own title page half way through the book at p.121. Intended for children and slightly graded by difficulty in part I, and by chronology in part II so changes can be observed over time, this is a collection of writing in Scots, “that the children of Scotland may read at least a little of the tongue their forefathers spoke”. Both parts have their own index of first lines, and both have a glossary of Scots words. No date, presumed 1920s.
