Hardback. First edition. 107pp. Dehn was better known as a screenwriter of espionage films, including Goldfinger (1964), The Spy Who Came in from the Cold (1965) and Seven Days to Noon (1952) for which he won an Oscar shared with his co-writer James Bernard who was to become his life partner. Other screenplays included Murder on the Orient Express (1974). His work as a poet has been reassessed in recent years with a 2021 collected edition published by Waterloo Poets. An evening dedicated to his poetic work was held the same year in The Cinema Museum, London which included readings of poems by Gemma Redgrave. Dust jacket design by Norma Crockford.
