Description
Hardback. 944pp. Tolkien family association copy. This substantial volume was a Christmas present from the crime writer Simon Tolkien to his first cousin Judith Tolkien (both grandchildren of J. R. R. Tolkien) and her husband Alan Crombleholme in 1981. Simon Tolkien is the son of Christopher Tolkien and the grandson of J. R. R. Tolkien. Christopher Tolkien was his father’s literary executor and completed some of his father’s works. Judith Tolkien was the daughter of JRR Tolkien’s second son Michael. This volume is from her library and looks much read and enjoyed. Second impression.
