Edited with a substantial, illustrated introduction, by E. V. Lucas. Illustrated by F. D. Bedford. xxx,415pp. Colour frontis. and colour title page. 46 further illustrations plus numerous tailpieces etc. the Taylors were from a family of illustrators and writers. Ann Taylor (1782-1866) was the older of the two sisters from very a literary family. younger sister Jane Taylor (1783-1824), poet and writer on religious subjects, is best known for writing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. Irish born Adelaide O’Keefe (1776-1865) was also from a family of writers being the daughter of the Irish Catholic playwright John O'Keeffe
