Thomas, who was killed at the Battle of Arras in 1917, is best known for his poem Adlestrop. this volumes contains Helen Thomas’ previous memoirs of her life with Edward Thomas, As It Was and World Without End, which have had the names changed for privacy in previous editions replaced with their real ones. It also includes her letters to Edward plus A Remembered Harvest which is made up of short, individual memoirs of other early twentieth century poets: W. H. Davies, D. H.Lawrence, Ivor Gurney, Eleanor Farjeon, Robert Frost and W. H. Hudson which would be of great interest to anyone studying the Dymock poets. There is also a short collection of letters from American poet Robert Frost plus a memoir from the couple’s daughter Myfanwy Thomas who has also compiled the volume.
