Hardback. 220pp. A signed first edition of historian Philip Mason’s best known work crime fiction, set in India. Signed by Mason using both his own name and Philip Woodruff. Also laid in is a postcard printed with his address and noting he was enclosing a signed book, this signed with his initials. Philip Mason was a colonial officer in the British Raj and wrote a two volume history The Men Who Ruled India and a study of Rudyard Kipling.
