Binding has a red and black fleur de lis to the front surrounded by a very deep border of gilt and blue decorations. Gilt decorations to the spine. Top edge gilt. Illustrated throughout. vi, 315+vi, 299pp. Portrait frontis. 60 plates showing views of Italy, mainly from photographs and each with a tissue guard with captions in red. A very pretty set.
