Hardback. Illustrated throughout with with 425 ‘designs’ by Gustave Doré. xxxii, 651pp. Most of the preliminary pages are taken up with the extensive list of engravings by Doré. Originally published as Les Cent Contes Drolatiques there are in fact 30 short stories grouped into three "decades" (groups of ten). Translated into English.
