| Notes | Yellow silk covers illustrated in gilt, black and white are very clean and bright to the front but slight scuffed to fore-edge and with some minor marks to the back. The silk to the spine is very rubbed, and the gilt titles to the spine are faded. Hint of bumping to points. Binding is sound. Top edge gilt, other edges uncut. Contents very clean, crisp and tight. Etchings complete and all with the annotated tissue guards as issued. Hand-written letter by unknown writer tipped in dated 1947. A very attractive copy. |
Description
Hardback. 376pp. Bound in full cream leather that has darkened to an attractive amber tone, decorated with a flower in dark blue and green, picked out in gilt to the front. Raised bands and gilt titles to the spine to the spine. All edges gilt. the endpapers have had purple grosgrain fabric possibly in silk pasted across them. Illustrations de Rossi, Myrbach etc.
