Substantial introduction and extensive footnotes throughout. Includes a small number of letters to Walpole from Mary Berry. The Berrys with their father Robert were Walpole’s protégés towards the end of his life and he made them his literary executors. Mary Berry was a diarist and writer. Blue cloth with gilt titles to spine.
