Corners are slightly bumped. Previous owners’ names to the endpaper including one in pink ink. Very clean, with bright gilt and beautiful, bright colour illustration to front. Bright, neat colour illustrated plates. An attractive edition. |
Description
Hardback. Very pretty edition in purple cloth with Art Nouveau gilt decorations to both front and spine and a colour illustrated paste-down to the front. With a frontispiece and seven further colour plates (as called for) by Rose Le Quesne. No date but the Told to the Children series was Edwardian and this edition has a gift inscription dated 1915.
