| Notes | Vellum is dust and finger marked but the gilt is bright. Cloth is dust marked to edges and with a few light finger marks to the centre of the panels but colour is still bright. Some uneven toning to endpapers. Scattered foxing to closed page edges. Some spotting to joint recesses. ext is clean. Binding is sound. This remains a very pretty copy. |
Description
Hardback. Very attractive half vellum binding with to the spine a very pretty, gilt classical design with trailing leaves and urns with printed dark pink label and gilt titles. Dark pink cloth to boards and vellum to corners. With memoir, explanatory notes, etc. xvi611pp. Gilt to top edge. Frontis is a black and white portrait engraving. Edited by Thomas Hutchinson.
