Description
Hardback. Eight volumes in individual slipcases. Each quarter bound in purple cloth with printed red labels and gilt lettering. Illustrated papers to boards. Colour frontis and further colour plates to each volume. Introductions by Peter Heather. In red pictorial patterned slipcases. Originally published in the 1890s as Italy and Her Invaders.
