Hardback. 2 volumes. Illustrated Victorian periodical edited by the novelist Ellen Wood better known as Mrs Henry Wood (1814-1887). Bound in decorated green cloth with Greek key border to front board in gilt and black and decorative gilt titles to front and gilt titles to spine. Bevelled boards. Illustrated by M. Ellen Edwards. Mainly fiction but includes a long piece on Orkney and Shetland, by Charles Wood who went on to be the editor after his mother’s death.
